My son has learning disabilities and I am always thinking of creative ways to teach him life skills through the power of toys and pretend play. We have a wooden play kitchen that I have been using to teach my children the skills of measuring foods with measuring devices. We work on reading through recipes. Also they have been learning proper nuttition in the form of creating healthy meals with pretend food. What better way to learn than through the eyes of a child.
